In what is expected to be the final high-level NATO summit before the Biden administration departs office next month, Secretary of State Antony Blinken is returning to Europe on Monday.

According to the State Department, NATO foreign ministers talks in Brussels on Tuesday and Wednesday will focus on strengthening alliance support for Ukraine in advance of President-elect Donald Trump’s January return to the White House.

According to a statement from the department, Blinken will “discuss priorities for transatlantic security, including supporting Ukraine’s fight against Russia’s invasion, deepening cooperation with NATO’s southern partners in the Middle East, North Africa, and Sahel regions, and preparing for the upcoming summit at The Hague.”
