On Monday, 12th Fail star Vikrant Massey declared that it was time for him to “recalibrate” and return home, marking a rare occurrence of an actor declaring that he is taking a vacation from acting.

His most recent film, The Sabarmati Report, which explores the aftermath of the 2002 Godhra train fire, was released a few weeks before to the news. During the film’s November 15 release, he claimed to have received death threats on social media but to not be concerned because they are “purely based on facts.”

Massey praised fans for their “phenomenal” support over the past few years. Massey most recently achieved popularity and accolades with 2023’s 12th Fail and the recent Netflix film Sector 26.
